The Wiz
The Court Theatre, Station
Road, Tring
Curtain up 7.30pm & 2.30pm Saturday Matinee
|

Based on The Wonderful
Wizard Of Oz by L. Frank Baum, The Wiz is a funky
adaptation of the tale we all know by heart. Dorothy
is blown by a tornado into a strange and wonderful
land, and in her quest to get home meets a host
of characters including a Scarecrow, a Tinman,
and a Cowardly Lion. They all go off to see the
mysterious Wiz, who they hope will make all their
dreams come true, but things don't turn out quite
how they'd planned. Directed by first-timer Amy
Quinlan, this wonderful family musical features
a host of local children and promises to be an
exciting and colourful journey through a much
loved tale. In a year when TFC celebrates its
30th anniversary, come and see for yourself that
the future is in safe hands. |

The ruins one can see today were unearthed in
1847. Subsequent excavations have revealed a row
of shop foundations, a Roman Villa and a secret
shrine, all thought to date from the First Century.
On these days you can watch a living history performance
by Roman Soldiers. |
